കുവൈത്ത് സിറ്റി : ജൂൺ 3 ലോക ബൈസൈക്കിൾ ദിനത്തിൽ കുവൈത്തിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസിയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തിൽ സൈക്കിൾ റാലി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. ആസാദി കാ അമൃത് വർഷ് ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായാണ് പരിപാടി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചത്. 
ഇന്ത്യൻ അംബാസഡർ സിബി ജോർജ് രാഷ്ട്രപിതാവ് മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധിയുടെ പ്രതിമയിൽ പുഷ്പാർച്ചന നടത്തി. പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി ഇന്ത്യ സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള നിരവധി നടപടികളെക്കുറിച്ച് അവബോധം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമാണ് സൈക്കിൾ റാലിയെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തൻ്റെ പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. കുവൈത്തിലെ സൈക്കിൾ പ്രേമികളായ പ്രവാസികൾ സൈക്കിൾ റാലിയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു 
ജൂൺ 5 മുതൽ 9 വരെയുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ പരിസ്ഥിതി വാരത്തിന് മുന്നോടിയായാണ് റാലി . ഇതുകൂടാതെ ക്വിസുകൾ, ഡ്രോയിംഗ് മത്സരം, എന്നിവയും നടക്കും. തുടർന്ന് ജൂൺ 9-ന് ഇന്ത്യൻ ശാസ്ത്രീയ നൃത്താവതരണങ്ങളോട് കൂടിയ ഗ്രാൻഡ് ഫിനാലെയും നടക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും.
The Embassy of India, Kuwait organized a Bicycle Rally to mark the ‘World Bicycle Day’ on 3rd June 2022 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-Celebrating 75 Years of India’s Independence and also on the occasion of 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Kuwait, to highlight the simplicity, affordability, reliability, environment friendly means of transportation; which fosters health and wellness.
Ambassador of India to Kuwait H.E. Shri Sibi George in his inaugural remarks spoke about the importance of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence and paid floral tributes at the statue of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He said that the Bicycle rally is part of the efforts to generate awareness about the several measures that India has taken for environment protection. The rally precedes the India Environment Week from 5 to 9 June, 2022 – an eventful week to celebrate India’s Achievements on Climate Action, highlight the Flora & Fauna of India, Share information on Indian Ocean; Rivers & Islands with Tree Plantation, Herbs. It also includes Quizzes, Painting & Drawing Competition, Virtual presentations followed by a grand finale with Indian Classical Dances on 9 June, 2022. Embassy invites all friends of India and the Indian Diaspora to be a part of the India: Environment Week celebrations.
