ICSK Junior celebrated womanhood as part of the Diamond Jubilee Celebration and decided to go pink on 4th May 2019 by taking up a social cause – to support the fighters, admire the survivors and spread awareness among others about ‘Breast Cancer’. A workshop was conducted for mothers and staff of ICSK Junior by Dr.Susovana Sujit Nair, Oncologist, KCCC, who is passionate about eradicating the fear which the word ‘cancer’ instils in every mind because she believes that there is hope for a cure and nothing can dim the light from within.
The workshop aimed at creating an awareness about the risk factors involved and how an early detection can help one fight out better. The questing-answer session that followed allowed the attendees to raise their doubts and Dr. Susovana patiently heard them and answered their questions.
Principal, Mrs. Sherly Dennis , Vice Principal, Mrs. Sheeja and the ICSK Junior family expressed their serene gratitude to Dr. Susovana for taking time out of her busy schedule to conduct the awareness programme.
